FLT Driver / Yard Operative
Location: Darlington, DL2
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour (depending on experience)
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable FLT Driver / Yard Operative to join our team at our Darlington site.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines forklift truck operation with general yard, production and labouring duties.
This is not a driving-only position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating granulators safely and efficiently.
- Organising and managing stock within the yard.
- Loading, unloading and moving materials using a forklift truck (FLT).
- Carrying out general yard and labouring duties as required.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks.
What We're Looking For
- A valid, in-date FLT licence/certification is essential.
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or manufacturing environment is desirable.
- A proactive, organised individual who can work using their own initiative.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to undertake manual labour.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to health and safety.
