We are currently recruiting an experienced FLT Driver / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join the team at a busy waste and recycling site. This is a full-time, rotating shift role offering excellent stability, shift allowance, and overtime opportunities.
Shift Pattern (Rotating)
- Week 1 – Days: 05:30 – 14:00 | Monday to Friday
- Week 2 – Nights: 14:00 – 23:30 | Monday to Thursday (1 week early / 1 week late rotation – may vary for holiday cover)
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT) safely and efficiently
- Collecting, handling, and segregating waste and recycling materials
- Operating cardboard and plastic balers
- Operating waste compactors
- Loading and unloading bulkers and containers
- Completing basic administrative paperwork (booking bulkers in/out)
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all health & safety and site procedures
What we’re looking for (Essential)
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
- Clamp attachment experience
- Previous FLT / forklift driving experience in an industrial, waste, or recycling environment
- Strong awareness of health & safety
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to work rotating shifts
- Comfortable with some basic admin duties
