FLT Driver – Waste & Recycling Site

Shift Pattern: Any 5 days out of 7
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Overtime: Paid after 50 hours at 1.5x hourly rate
About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced FLT Driver to join a busy waste and recycling site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) with clamp attachment to move waste and recyclable materials around the site. You will also assist with loading and unloading vehicles, stacking materials and supporting the wider yard operation.
This is a physically active, outdoor role within a busy industrial environment, so candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Counterbalance FLT with clamp attachment
- Move waste and recyclable materials around the site
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
- Stack and organise materials within designated areas
- Support general yard and site operations
- Carry out daily safety checks on the FLT
- Follow all site health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Work effectively as part of a busy team
Requirements
- Valid and in-date FLT licence
- Previous Counterbalance FLT experience
- Experience using a clamp attachment is highly desirable
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Comfortable working outdoors in a busy industrial environment
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Flexible approach to duties and working hours
Working Hours & Pay
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Any 5 days out of 7
- Overtime paid after 50 hours per week
- Overtime rate: 1.5x normal hourly rate
