Relief Class 2 Dustcart Driver

The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Class 2 Dustcart Driver to join a waste management operation in Crawley.
Please note: this is a temporary relief role and is dependent on client requirements. Work is not guaranteed and shifts will be offered based on the client's needs.
The role involves driving a Class 2 dustcart and supporting daily waste collection operations across the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 dustcart safely and responsibly.
- Carrying out waste collection duties across planned routes.
- Working as part of a refuse collection team.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Working to scheduled start and finish times.
- Dealing professionally with members of the public where required.
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and vehicle care.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Previous dustcart, refuse collection or waste management driving experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work early morning starts.
- Comfortable working in an outdoor and physically demanding environment.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
6:00am start - 3:00pm finish
Shifts are temporary and dependent on client requirements. The amount of work available may vary according to operational demand.
