About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Waste Operative to join our HWRC team. This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy Waste to Energy Plant, where you will support the safe and efficient operation of the Household Waste Recycling Centre and trade waste reception areas. This is a public-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the public in using the site safely and effectively
- Deliver professional and friendly customer service
- Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
- Operate plant machinery safely and efficiently
- Report faults, hazards, and operational issues
- Support general site operations as required
Requirements
- Experience in waste, recycling, or industrial environments (preferred)
- Strong focus on health & safety
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
Essential
- Experience operating Telehandler and/or 360 Excavator
Desirable
- Weighbridge experience
- Overhead crane operation
- Full UK driving licence
