Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating shifts: 5:00am – 2:00pm, 2:00pm – 11:00pm
- 1 in every 4 Saturdays required
- Overtime available on Saturdays
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for Mobile Plant Operatives to join our client based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy recycling and resource management facility offering ongoing work, training opportunities, and career progression within a growing industry.
The Role
As a Mobile Plant Operative, you will support the day-to-day running of the site by operating machinery safely and efficiently while assisting with general operational duties across the facility.
Main Responsibilities
- Operating Wheeled Loading Shovel, Counterbalance FLT, Clamp Truck and Baler equipment
- Loading, moving, and processing materials around site
- Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting defects
- Supporting general site operations and assisting with additional duties where required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working closely with the operations team to achieve productivity targets
What We're Looking For
- Loading Shovel and Counterbalance licences desirable
- Clamp Truck experience beneficial
- Mechanical awareness and understanding of machinery maintenance
- Previous experience within waste, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments preferred
- Reliable and safety-conscious approach
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
