Are you an experienced Telehandler Operative looking for a stable, long-term opportunity? Join a leading waste management and recycling operation where you'll play a key role in supporting environmentally responsible waste processing and making a positive impact in the local community.

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Telehandler Operative to join our successful client based in Corby, NN17.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a telehandler safely and efficiently across the site
  • Process food and green waste materials
  • Operate plant machinery including:
    • Telehandler truck
    • Mobile shredder
    • Mobile screener
  • Carry out routine maintenance associated with plant equipment
  • Load outgoing vehicles and separate waste streams
  • Transport materials around the facility
  • Feed processing lines and hoppers with material
  • Support general yard operations and assist site management as required
  • Empty chutes and bunkers
  • Remove waste from bays and load into the baler
  • Ensure all health, safety and environmental procedures are followed
  • Monitor environmental factors including weather conditions, wind, dust, noise and litter

Requirements

  • Valid Telehandler Licence/Ticket
  • Previous experience operating a telehandler
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience within a waste management, recycling, manufacturing or industrial environment
