Smart Solutions are recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver on behalf of a well-established national waste management company based at the Humberside Industrial Estate, Grimsby. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and physically fit driver looking for stable weekday work, overtime opportunities, and long-term career prospects within a growing industry.
Working Hours
- Start times between 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM
- Monday to Friday
- 45–50 hours per week
- Shifts typically 8–9 hours
Responsibilities
- Collecting industrial and commercial bulk bins from customer sites
- Operating Class 2 vehicles including front and rear loaders
- Completing all paperwork accurately for collections and deliveries
- Reporting delays due to breakdowns, traffic, or weather conditions
- Reporting access issues and contaminated loads
- Completing daily timesheets
- Lone working and manual handling as part of the role
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) license
- CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Waste industry experience preferred but not essential (full training provided)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, safety-focused, and professional approach
