HGV Class 2 Driver – Duties & Responsibilities
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client based in the Canterbury area.
The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse collection lorry and collecting/emptying food bins from residential and commercial premises.
A minimum of 90 days experience within the last 6 months on HGV Class 2 driving is essential.
- Drive and operate a class 2 refuse lorry,
- Collect food waste from a different local area each day of the week
- Emptying food waste bins around Lincolnshire
- Some heavy lifting involved
- Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely
- One-person team
HGV Class 2 Driver – Person Specification
- UK HGV Class 2 driving license (minimum 6 months)
- Digital tachograph card & CPC card
- Ability to provide a professional waste management service to residential customers
- Excellent, professional work ethic
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment ESSENTIAL
