About the Role: Smart Solutions are recruiting an experienced clamp truck forklift operator to join our waste and recycling operation in the Mitcham CR4 area. The successful candidate will operate clamp truck forklifts to safely move, load, and manage materials within a busy recycling environment. Previous experience with clamp attachment is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a counterbalance clamp forklift safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, and transport materials within the site
  • Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and report any issues
  • Work collaboratively with the site team to meet operational targets
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues
  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials within the recycling facility
  • Load and unload trucks with recyclable materials
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of materials
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations

Requirements:

  • Recommended: NPOR, ACOP, or CPCS certificates
  • Valid forklift operator’s licence, ideal
  • Proven experience as a clamp truck or telescopic forklift driver
  • Experience in a recycling or waste management environment (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and site guidelines
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused
