About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll-On / Roll-Off Driver to join our waste management operations team at our Chelmsford WTS site. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transport of commercial waste using RoRo vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving to planned collection locations and operating Roll-On / Roll-Off vehicles
  • Moving and emptying multiple commercial waste containers safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring all job information is accurately input into the onboard system
  • Completing and submitting all required paperwork daily
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with the Driver Operator Handbook
  • Complying with all road traffic laws, transport regulations, and load weight restrictions
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Valid Digital Tachograph card
  • Previous experience in RoRo or commercial waste driving (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of driver compliance, road safety, and vehicle checks
  • Ability to work independently and manage a planned route schedule
