Wheeled Shovel Operative Required – Night Shift

Location: Bristol

Pay Rate: £19.68 per hour

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday

Hours: 10:00pm – 6:00am

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Wheeled Shovel Operative to join our team on a permanent night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a wheeled shovel, loading materials into the plant feed system, and supporting daily site operations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator looking for a stable night shift role with competitive pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a wheeled shovel safely and efficiently
  • Loading material into the plant feed system
  • Loading lorries as required
  • Carrying out daily vehicle walkaround checks
  • Recording and reporting any defects to the Supervisor on duty
  • Ensuring all site procedures and Health & Safety standards are followed
  • Cleaning work areas and maintaining a tidy working environment
  • Ensuring the vehicle is cleaned, maintained, and refuelled at the end of each shift
  • Preparing the vehicle ready for the next shift

Requirements

  • Valid Wheeled Shovel Operator licence required
  • Previous experience operating wheeled shovel machinery essential
  • Good understanding of site safety procedures
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards

Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday

Hours: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Pay Rate: £19.68 per hour
