Van Driver / Delivery Driver
Location: Birmingham, B46
Pay: £14.06 per hour
Overtime: £21.09 per hour after 8 hours
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – Finish

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for reliable and experienced Van Drivers / Delivery Drivers to join our team in Birmingham, B46.
The role involves safely collecting, transporting and delivering goods from our warehouse to business addresses. You will be responsible for loading your vehicle, planning efficient delivery routes, using handheld tracking technology and providing a professional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and securely organise goods in the van to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow pre-planned delivery schedules or plan efficient routes where required.
- Deliver goods safely and on time to business addresses.
- Unload items at customer doors, reception areas or designated delivery points.
- Scan packages and obtain customer signatures or electronic proof of delivery.
- Use handheld devices and tracking technology throughout the working day.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks.
- Keep the van clean and presentable.
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all UK road laws and company procedures.
- Provide polite and professional customer service at every delivery.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean or near-clean driving record.
- Previous van or delivery driving experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of UK roads and the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry parcels and goods.
- Comfortable using handheld devices and delivery technology.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pay and Hours
- £14.06 per hour basic rate.
- Overtime paid at £21.09 per hour after 8 hours.
- Monday to Friday.
- Start time: 6:00am.
- Finish time: Dependent on completion of deliveries.
- Full-time position.
