Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing

Shift Pattern:

  • AM Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
  • PM Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

1-hour unpaid break per shift

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver to join a busy recycling facility in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work within a fast-paced waste and recycling environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials across the site, supporting daily recycling operations while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, and transport recyclable materials and waste products throughout the facility
  • Move stock and materials between production and storage areas
  • Complete daily FLT safety inspections and report any defects
  • Assist with sorting, handling, and processing recyclable materials when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Follow all company Health & Safety policies and site procedures
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets

Requirements:

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent)
  • Previous FLT driving experience within recycling, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures
  • Ability to work rotating shift patterns
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
