The Role
- We are recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a full-time, ongoing position based in Preston.
- This role involves operating walking floor (moving floor) trailers, transporting waste and recyclable materials to and from processing sites across the UK.
- Work is generally straightforward and repetitive, allowing drivers to get into a routine.
- Walking floor / moving floor trailers (waste & recycling work)
- Deliveries and collections between depots, transfer stations and landfill/recycling sites
- Minimal handball – trailers are self-discharging
- Tramping role – nights out required during the week
- Monday to Friday – no weekend work
- 05:00 start times
- Long, steady shifts with full use of driving hours
- Vehicles are well maintained and planned routes provided
