FLT Counterbalance Driver
Location: Atherstone, CV9
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am-4pm
Induction: 6-hour induction
We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Atherstone.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious FLT driver looking for an immediate start and ongoing work within a busy operational environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently across the site, supporting the movement of materials and day-to-day waste and recycling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift across the site.
- Load, unload and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Support the day-to-day operations of a busy waste and recycling facility.
- Follow site procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Complete daily equipment checks and report any defects or issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and site management.
- Carry out general site duties when required.
Requirements
- Valid external FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
- Previous counterbalance forklift experience is required.
- Previous experience within waste, recycling, manufacturing, logistics or warehouse environments is advantageous.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
