About the Role
Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced 360 Grab Driver / Telehandler Operator to join their busy waste and recycling facility in Hull (HU8). The primary responsibility of this role is to safely transfer loose materials onto the sort line conveyor belt, ensuring materials are distributed effectively to support efficient operations and maintain productivity across the site. Health and Safety is a top priority, and continuous communication with site operatives via radio is essential to ensure the smooth running of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 360 Grab safely and efficiently within a busy waste and recycling environment.
- Use a Telehandler to support site operations where required.
- Feed materials onto the sort line conveyor belt in a controlled and efficient manner.
- Ensure materials are evenly distributed to maximise productivity for the sort line team.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel using radios.
- Carry out daily plant inspections and report any defects promptly.
- Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards across the site.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid 360 Grab / Excavator Licence.
- Previous Telehandler experience is essential.
- Experience within the waste, recycling or similar industrial environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
