About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver to join a busy and well-established waste management operation based in Corby. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering guaranteed hours, regular routes, and the chance to work within a supportive team delivering a high-quality service to commercial customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled commercial trade waste collections
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicle (RCV)
- Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and defect reports
- Ensure collections are completed efficiently and to schedule
- Maintain excellent customer service at all collection points
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, drivers’ hours regulations, and company policies
- Complete all paperwork and electronic records accurately
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous Class 2 HGV driving experience
- Trade waste or waste management experience is desirable but not essential
- Good communication skills and a reliable, positive attitude
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
