About the Role
We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Multi Plant Operatives to join our client at their busy waste and recycling facility in Edmonton, North London. This is a hands-on role operating Loading Shovels and Material Handlers within a fast-paced recycling environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe movement, loading, sorting, and processing of waste and recyclable materials while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Loading Shovels and Material Handlers safely and efficiently
- Move, load, and process waste and recyclable materials around the site
- Feed materials into processing equipment as required
- Maintain stockpiles and loading areas
- Carry out daily equipment checks and report defects promptly
- Ensure work is completed in line with site procedures and Health & Safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Support the wider operations team in achieving daily production targets
Requirements
- Valid Loading Shovel licence
- Valid telehandler Driver licence
- Previous experience operating mobile plant equipment within waste, recycling, aggregates, or similar industries
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to work
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
