Schedule
- Monday – Friday 07:00 – 17:00 (47.5 hours). Optional Saturday (07:00 – 16:00) or Sunday (08:00 – 16:00) shifts as required.
Responsibilities
The role involves operating a loading shovel to perform a variety of tasks, including tipping and loading of vehicles outside in all weather conditions. Drive a loading shovel to transport materials within the facility and ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Operate a loading shovel to load and tip material onto collection vehicles.
- Load vehicles such as dump trucks, shredders, screeners, and other composting process equipment.
- Maintain mobile plant by greasing and cleaning as required.
- Work safely outdoors in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid wheeled loading shovel licence (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience operating a loading shovel (required).
- Previous experience in a waste and recycling industrial environment is an advantage.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
