Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our client based at Kilsyth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy waste and recycling facility offering ongoing work within a growing industry.

The Role:

As a Yard Operative, you will support the safe loading, unloading, sorting, movement, and storage of waste materials across the transfer station and plant areas while maintaining excellent housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, sorting, and moving waste materials safely around site
• Maintaining housekeeping standards across operational areas
• Operating work equipment safely in line with site procedures
• Carrying out pre-use safety checks on equipment and reporting defects
• Recording operational information and supporting site compliance
• Assisting with ad hoc operational tasks when required
• Supporting site Health & Safety initiatives and reporting hazards or near misses
• Working closely with the site management and operations team
