Smart Solutions is currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy Trade Waste operation based from our Birmingham depot.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday: 1:00pm starts until finish.
- Occasional Saturday overtime available. All breaks paid.
Pay & Benefits
- £17.98 per hour
- Overtime paid at x1.25 after 40 hours

The Role
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs).
- Carry out commercial and trade waste collections across planned routes.
- Collect and empty wheeled bin containers safely and efficiently.
- Plan routes effectively to maximise productivity.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with DVSA standards.
- Follow all waste duty of care regulations and company health & safety procedures.
- Deliver a professional and reliable service at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous waste sector experience preferred
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Reliable with strong timekeeping and a professional attitude
- Safety-focused with good communication skills
