The Role
The role is mainly focused on planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs and small works across air conditioning, ventilation and associated mechanical systems. You will be working directly with long-standing commercial and industrial clients, providing a high standard of technical service and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM, servicing and reactive maintenance
- Fault find and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems
- Work on VRV/VRF, split systems, chillers, AHUs and cold rooms
- Carry out small works and remedial repairs
- Work on ventilation and associated heating systems
- Experience with pumps and valves would be advantageous
- Attend commercial and industrial client sites
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Provide a professional service and maintain strong client relationships
- Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota
About You
We are looking for an experienced AC/HVAC Engineer with:
- Proven experience in service, maintenance and fault finding
- F-Gas Category 1 / City & Guilds 2079
- Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or equivalent
- Experience with commercial air conditioning systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Good customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- An apprenticeship in air conditioning and refrigeration is desirable but not essential
- Experience with commercial plant rooms, pumps and valves would also be an advantage
