Smart Search Technical are currently partnered with a specialist BMS company that are looking for a Senior BMS Engineer in the Berkshire or surrounding areas, this is an established business with multiple depots in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Site commissioning of controls projects and system integration (BMS, Energy Monitoring, HVAC controls, upgrade works)
- Conduct site surveys and progress reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve site issues
- Liaise with customers and project engineers
- Provide training to customers
- Offer technical and engineering support where required
- Maintain a high standard of quality control
- Produce precise and detailed reports
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Be flexible in the types of work carried out
Required Education & Qualifications
- Experience with Trend IQ2, IQ3, and IQ4 controllers, as well as Tridium Niagara 4 software (IQVision)
- Ability to understand and modify control strategies
- Knowledge of BMS and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP)
- Understanding of IT systems, servers, and communication networks
- Competent electrical knowledge and ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving, using initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of HVAC systems
- CSCS and DBS certification
- Positive, can-do attitude with attention to detail
