I’m currently supporting a well-established, NSI & BAFE approved security provider operating across Cambridge and the surrounding areas. Due to ongoing growth and contract demand, they’re looking to add an experienced Security Engineer to their regional team.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering solid earning potential, paid overtime and long-term job security with a respected name in the industry.
The Role
- Installation of intruder alarm systems
- Preventative maintenance visits
- Fault finding and reactive breakdowns
- Occasional servicing cover during holiday or sickness periods
- Small associated remedial electrical works where required
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, is confident fault finding and can manage their workload independently.
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience installing and servicing intruder alarm systems
- Background within the electronic security industry
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of Risco intruder systems highly advantageous
- Experience with Access Control, CCTV and Fire Alarms beneficial
- Reliable, self-motivated and keen to continue developing
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 1 year experience with electronic security and/or fire systems
- Full UK driving licence
Salary, Travel & Benefits
- Basic salary starting from £40,000, dependent on experience
- Overtime available
- Call-out rota included
Travel: Any travel exceeding 1 hour to site and 1 hour from site is paid as overtime.
Holiday entitlement:
- 20 days holiday, rising to 25 days with length of service
