Pump Service Engineer

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a client of mine who are actively seeking an experienced Pump Service Engineer for their Midlands Depot, this is for an established business.\\n\\nField Service Engineer – Pumps\\nLocation: Midlands Depot\\nSalary: £36,000 – £38,500 + overtime & call-out pay\\nJob Type: Full-time, Permanent\\nStart Date: 01/06/2025\\n\\nAn established and growing pump rental solutions provider is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to support their operations across the Midlands. This is a mobile role involving the service, repair, and maintenance of diesel and electric-powered pumping systems, both on-site and at the depot.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nDiagnose and repair faults on mechanical and electrical pump systems\\n\\nCarry out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown support\\n\\nInstall and service pumps on customer sites\\n\\nMaintain accurate service records and follow health & safety protocols\\n\\nParticipate in a call-out rota (enhanced pay applies)\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\nNVQ or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering\\n\\nExperience with pumps, engines, or heavy plant equipment\\n\\nFull UK driving licence\\n\\nStrong diagnostic and fault-finding ability\\n\\nComfortable working independently and dealing directly with customers\\n\\nDesirable:\\n\\nBackground in pump hire, plant hire, or utilities\\n\\nExperience using lifting equipment\\n\\nBenefits:\\n\\nCompetitive base salary + enhanced overtime and call-out pay\\n\\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\\n\\nPension scheme and employee support programmes\\n\\nOngoing training and career development\\n\\nSmart Search Technical is a specialist recruitment company operating in technical engineering sectors across the UK & beyond.
