Due to continued growth and long-term contract wins, they are now looking to bring in a Security Project Manager or a Senior Engineer / Supervisor ready to step up into project management.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical exposure to security systems who wants to take ownership of projects, develop commercial skills, and progress into a long-term project leadership position within a highly specialised business.
You’ll be supported by experienced project and engineering teams, with training and development provided to help bridge any gaps from site-based engineering into full project delivery.
The Opportunity
You’ll support and gradually take ownership of secure-sector electronic security projects, including work for blue-light and custodial environments where quality, compliance and structure are critical.
- New build installations
- Technical refresh and upgrade works
- Highly regulated, secure environments
Although the company is based in South Wales, projects are delivered nationwide, and some travel and overnight stays are required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with and managing the delivery of specialist security projects
- Coordinating installation teams and subcontractors on site
- Supporting access control, CCTV and associated safety system installations
- Liaising with clients, principal contractors and internal teams
- Supporting change control, variations and programme updates
- Providing technical input where required (training given on specialist platforms)
- Working alongside commissioning, service and installation engineers
- Ensuring health & safety, quality and compliance standards are met
- Identifying improvements, efficiencies and future service opportunities
This Role Would Suit Someone Who Has:
- Experience as a Senior Security Engineer, Supervisor, Lead Engineer or Site Manager
- Or early-stage Project Management experience within security, construction or M&E
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Commercial awareness and interest in budgeting and project costs
- Confidence communicating with clients, contractors and site teams
- Good IT skills and willingness to learn project management systems
- Solid understanding of health & safety on construction sites
- Formal PM qualifications (PRINCE2, APM) are advantageous but not essential.
- IOSH or NEBOSH is beneficial but not required.
- Technical experience in access control, CCTV, data networks or secure systems is highly transferable. Exposure to custodial, healthcare, blue-light or critical environments is a strong advantage.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)
- Willingness to travel and stay away when projects require
- Ability to pass Police Vetting to NPPV3 level (essential)
Package
- Up to £45,000 salary depending on experience
- Company vehicle
- Structured support and development into project management
- Training on specialist secure-sector systems
- Long-term career progression within a growing specialist business
- Opportunity to work on some of the most secure and technically complex projects in the UK
