Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC / Building Services Engineer to join a well-established engineering services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, service, and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems across a variety of commercial sites.

Location and Hours

Location: Hertfordshire, North London & surrounding areas (occasional travel to Essex and Ipswich)
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (many clients are not on site for access at 7am).

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and fault-finding on HVAC and building services systems.
  • Service and maintain air handling units, fan coil units, split systems, and associated controls.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical plant, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant health & safety regulations.
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HVAC, mechanical, or building services engineering.
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Air Conditioning, or Plumbing & Heating.
  • F-Gas certification (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
