I recruit within the electronic security industry and I’m currently supporting a well-established, NSI & BAFE approved security provider operating from a regional office covering the High Wycombe area.
They’re looking to add an experienced Security Engineer to their team to carry out a mix of installation, preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown (call-out) work. This is a full-time, permanent position offering strong earning potential and long-term stability.
The Role
- You’ll be field-based, working across a range of electronic security systems, with responsibilities including:
- Installation of intruder alarm systems
- Planned preventative maintenance visits
- Fault finding and reactive breakdowns
- Occasional servicing cover during holiday or sickness periods
- Carrying out small associated remedial electrical works where required
This role suits an engineer who is confident fault finding, organised in their approach and comfortable working independently.

- Proven experience installing and servicing intruder alarm systems
- Background within the electronic security industry
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of Risco intruder systems highly beneficial
- Experience with Access Control, CCTV and Fire Alarms advantageous
- Reliable, self-motivated and keen to continue learning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 1 year experience with electronic security and/or fire systems
- Full UK driving licence
Salary, Travel & Benefits
- Basic salary from £40,000 upwards, dependent on experience
- Overtime available
- Call-out rota included
- Travel: Any travel exceeding 1 hour to site and 1 hour from site is paid as overtime.
- Holiday entitlement: 20 days holiday, rising to 25 days with length of service
