I recruit within the electronic security industry and I am currently supporting a well-established, NSI & BAFE approved security provider operating from a regional office covering the High Wycombe area. They are looking to add an experienced Security Engineer to their team to carry out a mix of installation, preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work. This is a full-time, permanent position offering strong earning potential and long-term stability.

The Role

  • Installation of intruder alarm systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance visits
  • Fault finding and reactive breakdowns
  • Occasional servicing cover during holiday or sickness periods
  • Carrying out small associated remedial electrical works where required

This role suits an engineer who is confident fault finding, organised in their approach and comfortable working independently.

  • Proven experience installing and servicing intruder alarm systems
  • Background within the electronic security industry
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of Risco intruder systems highly beneficial
  • Experience with Access Control, CCTV and Fire Alarms advantageous
  • Reliable, self-motivated and keen to continue learning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience with electronic security and/or fire systems
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary, Travel & Benefits

  • Basic salary from £40,000 upwards, dependent on experience
  • Overtime available
  • Call-out rota included
  • Travel: Any travel exceeding 1 hour to site and 1 hour from site is paid as overtime.
  • Holiday entitlement: 20 days holiday, rising to 25 days with length of service
