I’m currently recruiting for a Junior Fire & Security Engineer / Engineer’s Mate to join a growing and supportive company based around Exeter. This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting their career in the industry, particularly if you’ve recently come out of college or have a strong interest in electrics and want to build a long-term career in fire and security. If you’re looking for a role where you can learn on the job, gain hands-on experience and progress into a fully qualified engineer, this is a fantastic place to start.
The Role
You’ll be working closely alongside a Senior Engineer, supporting on a range of fire and security projects while learning the trade day by day. Your main duties will include:
- Assisting with testing of fire and security systems
- Supporting installations and maintenance work
- Learning how to fault find and diagnose issues
- Helping with general site work and equipment setup
- Gaining exposure to systems such as fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be learning while working, building real experience out in the field.
