Industrial Refrigeration Engineer (North West & South East) in Edinburgh

The Role

The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and emergency call-outs on industrial refrigeration plant. You will also assist with commissioning, system upgrades, retrofits and modifications, completing the required service and commissioning documentation.

Engineers will work with systems including ammonia, CO2, glycol and HFC, with the ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and P&IDs. The role also involves supporting system optimisation, maintaining accurate records and working closely with customers, project managers and other engineers.

About You

Ideally, you will have 3–5+ years' industrial refrigeration experience, with experience in ammonia and/or CO2 systems. F-Gas Category 1 and a City & Guilds Level 2/3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualification, or equivalent, are required.

You should have strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, a good understanding of health and safety, and be comfortable working independently on customer sites. Good communication, IT and service reporting skills are also required, along with a full UK driving licence.

Hours & Call-Out

• 39 hours per week

• Monday–Thursday: 8am–5pm

• Friday: 8am–4pm

• 1-in-7 call-out rota

• Door-to-door travel time paid
