Are you an experienced Security Systems Designer looking to join a growing business with exciting projects, genuine progression and long-term stability? I’m currently recruiting for a well-established and rapidly growing electronic security integrator delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial and public sector environments. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are now looking to add a Security Systems Designer to their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys technically detailed work, working closely with projects and clients, and being part of a business where your input genuinely matters.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for designing and developing electronic security systems from initial survey through to technical handover, working across a variety of projects involving:
- CCTV Systems
- Access Control
- Intruder Alarms
- Integrated Security Platforms
You’ll work closely with sales teams, project managers, engineers and clients to ensure all designs are technically compliant, commercially viable and delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out site surveys and technical assessments
- Producing CAD drawings, schematics and system designs
- Preparing technical submissions, bills of materials and documentation
- Attending client meetings and technical design reviews
- Supporting installation and project teams throughout delivery
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant British Standards
- Managing and maintaining accurate design documentation
- Assisting with technical queries across live projects
What They’re Looking For
- Previous experience designing electronic security systems
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder systems
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Understanding of industry standards including PD6662 and BS EN standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Revit, NavisWorks or BIM experience
- NSI or SSAIB knowledge
- Experience within commercial or public sector projects
- Project management exposure or qualifications

- £40,000 – £55,000 basic salary DOE
