Smart Rehabilitation is a community-based multidisciplinary rehabilitation provider specialising in neuro-rehabilitation, complex trauma, paediatric and adult neurological conditions, hydrotherapy, and postural care. Our collaborative MDT includes Physiotherapists, OTs, SALTs, Psychologists, Rehab Medicine Consultants, and Rehab Assistants. Role Overview
We are seeking motivated and experienced
Neurological Physiotherapists (Band 6 or Band 7)
to join our growing permanent team. You will primarily manage
adult neurological caseloads
, with the option to develop paediatric skills if desired. Applicants must be
based in Sheffield or surrounding areas
and willing to travel locally across South Yorkshire and nearby regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for clients with complex neurological and traumatic conditions (adults as essential, paediatrics where applicable).
- Contribute to integrated, goal-focused rehabilitation programmes in collaboration with the MDT.
- Produce high-quality, detailed reports and documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Work independently in community settings, homes, schools, and rehabilitation units.
- Participate in regular MDT meetings, case discussions, and joint assessments.
- Support clients and families with education, training, and ongoing rehabilitation plans.
Essential Criteria
For Band 6:
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
- Minimum
2 years post-graduate experience
, including at least
1 year in adult neurological physiotherapy
. - Strong clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills.
- Excellent written communication and
report writing skills
. - Car owner with a
clean UK driving licence
and willingness to travel within South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
For Band 7:
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
- Minimum
5 years post-graduate experience
, including at least
2 years in adult neurological physiotherapy
. - Advanced neurological assessment and treatment skills.
- Excellent written communication and
report writing skills
. - Car owner with a
clean UK driving license
and willingness to travel within South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
Desirable Criteria
- Paediatric neurological rehabilitation experience.
- Willingness to learn and take on paediatric caseloads.
- Previous private sector experience.
- Experience with hydrotherapy, postural care, or complex equipment.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD in neuro-rehabilitation.
