Quality Assistant – £14.00 per Hour, Long-term Temp Role Crewkerne, Somerset | Monday – Friday | Global Engineering Company Join a world-leading engineering business to support daily activities within the Quality function, ensuring manufactured and purchased components meet engineering and customer requirements. MAIN DUTIES: Measure manufactured and purchased components against engineering drawings. Complete Initial Sample Inspection Reports. Carry out daily checks on machining and testing failures and discuss findings with machine and assembly line operatives. Perform goods-inwards visual and dimensional sample inspections. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Work in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) guidelines. Support quality and production activities to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Support the Production Part Approval Process. Provide cross-cover for other members of the Quality team as required. JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of engineering drawings. Experience using hand measuring equipment, including but not limited to: Digital calipers Micrometers Height gauges Screw plug and ring gauges Plain plug gauges Shadowgraph Experience with standard inspection and measuring equipment. KEY COMPETENCIES: Ability to report inspection findings clearly and accurately. Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
