Wise Employment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to start your new career in January, working in a modern manufacturing environment focused on the assembly, maintenance and refurbishment of mobile industrial water treatment systems.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mechanical builds while maintaining strict safety, quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble, install, maintain and repair mechanical components and equipment
- Complete routine and preventative maintenance tasks
- Refurbish and fabricate parts to support production
- Calibrate and validate instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Work independently and collaboratively with fitters, welders, electricians and fabricators
- Adhere to EHS standards, safety risk assessments and 5S housekeeping practices
- Contribute to LEAN / KAIZEN continuous improvement initiatives
- Attend training sessions, team meetings and support overtime when required
- Proven mechanical assembly experience within an industrial environment
- Experience with PVC and stainless-steel pipework, valves and fittings
- Competent use of hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of health, safety and quality compliance
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- MIG and/or TIG welding experience or certification
- Familiarity with water treatment systems
