Location: Chard. Temporary with fix term contract possibilities. Hourly range from Β£12.83 – Β£13.80 depends on experience.. Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Mon–Thur, 08:00 – 15:30 Fri (30-minute lunch).

Smart Recruitment is proud to present an excellent opportunity for a General Office Administrator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Chard. This role is key to keeping production running smoothly by supporting scheduling, stock control, and supplier communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with suppliers to chase deliveries, handle product queries, and resolve issues

  • Processing and maintaining accurate data using SAP and Microsoft Excel

  • Assisting with production planning and monitoring stock levels

  • Supporting the scheduler with customer order prioritisation and entry into the production plan

  • Working closely with buyers, customer services, and management to ensure on-time delivery of materials

  • Supporting document control and internal reporting

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication – both written and verbal

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise effectively

  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
