Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled CMM Inspector to join a global engineering company based in Crewkerne, Somerset. This is a long-term temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a precision-driven environment. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CMM machines to ensure the dimensional accuracy of high-spec components, supporting both internal production and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate CMM machines to inspect complex components

• Generate accurate dimensional inspection reports and maintain inspection records

• Work closely with the Quality Manager to uphold quality standards and resolve non-conformances

• Inspect parts against customer drawings, specifications, and engineering standards

• Carry out calibration of measurement instruments as required

• Support general quality engineering tasks, including process route card reviews and audits

What We\’re Looking For:

• Proven experience using CMM machines

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

• Experience working within AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments (preferred)

• Background in aerospace, precision engineering, or a similar high-tolerance industry

• A detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to quality
