Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development & Recruitment Consultant to help grow our client base while also managing early-stage recruitment and shortlisting processes. You’ll be pivotal in shaping the future of Smart Recruiting by identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships, and ensuring a quality candidate pipeline. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sales, client relations and recruitment—who thrives in a startup or small business environment. Key Responsibilities Business Development * Identify and pursue new business (training opportunities within the healthcare and social care sectors (e.g. care homes, domiciliary agencies, NHS contracts, supported living establishment * Manage outreach campaigns via LinkedIn, email, and networking platforms * Maintain a CRM of leads, prospects, and client touchpoints * Schedule and lead discovery calls and pitch presentations * Collaborate on marketing strategies (e.g. brochures, email campaigns, webinars) Client Relationship Management * Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients * Understand client recruitment needs and tailor solutions accordingly * Provide regular updates and reports to the Director Recruitment & Shortlisting * Manage early-stage candidate attraction and screening for client roles * Review applications, conduct initial phone screenings, and prepare shortlists * Assist in drafting job adverts and placement strategies * Coordinate with training team for candidate onboarding (compliance & CPD) Reporting & Strategy * Track KPIs and report on lead conversions, client acquisition, and candidate placements * Provide insight to support continuous improvement of recruitment processes * Contribute ideas to improve Smart Recruiting’s visibility and impact Key Skills & Experience Essential: * Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally in recruitment or healthcare sectors * Familiarity with end-to-end recruitment processes (sourcing to placement) * Excellent written and verbal communication * Confident using digital tools (CRM, LinkedIn, scheduling platforms, email marketing tools) * Self-motivated and target-driven * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Desirable: * Experience working in a startup or small agency setting * Background in healthcare recruitment * Knowledge of UK compliance and onboarding in the care sector What We Offer * Flexible remote working * Opportunity to shape a growing brand with social impact * Monthly performance bonuses * Ongoing training and support * Room to grow into a leadership position To Apply Please respond to this job advert
