At The Essex Smile Centre, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our established dental practice in Rayleigh, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient oral health outcomes whilst working within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

The Role:

  • Tuesday & Wednesday surgery availability
  • Delivering high-quality patient care, managing your own patient list, and working alongside experienced dentists and support staff to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services
  • Delivering comprehensive dental hygiene treatments within your scope of practice, managing an established and diverse patient list, ensuring continuity of care and building strong therapeutic relationships
  • Performing thorough patient assessments, identifying oral health concerns, and developing individualised treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Providing evidence-based oral health education and preventative advice to patients, promoting positive behavioural change
  • Work collaboratively with dentists and dental nurses, communicating effectively to ensure seamless patient care

What we're looking for:

  • GDC registration as a Dental Hygienist
  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Demonstrable experience delivering dental hygiene treatments within scope of practice
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient groups
  • Confident in patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive approach to collaborative working
