Due to increased workload and securing new contracts within the aviation sector, Turner & Townsend has a new opportunity for a Senior Consultant, specialising in IM and data management, to join our team. Our team are recognised as global experts in the development and deployment of IM on major projects and programmes, delivering client outcomes which mutually benefit the supply chain and add value to projects.

We work holistically with our wider business to provide an environment for innovation and deliver success on projects where IM is core to the delivery and operation of assets. We lead the IM process at organisational, programme and project level through:

  • Discovery and understanding
  • Client adoption strategy and strategic project setup
  • Project and programme IM execution planning
  • IM implementation and supply chain management
  • IM compliance checking and data verification

The individual will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team delivering and implementing Information Management from strategy level to project, programme and portfolio level for aviation clients. Our current openings are specifically for opportunities in aviation. You do not need specific sector experience, but it is favourable.

Key Responsibilities

To fulfil the duties of a Senior Consultant, specialising in IM, the candidate will be able to:

  • Strategy Development: Capture client requirements to design and author bespoke IM strategies and workflows that align with industry best practices, including the need to produce documentation with an understanding of their inclusion in contracts and appointments.
  • Implementation Leadership: Manage the rollout of IM methodologies across programs and projects, ensuring successful adoption by clients, design teams, and contractors.
  • Technical Assurance: Conduct structured model reviews, clash detection, and data analysis to mitigate risks and ensure delivery against project requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Facilitate workshops and interface with project partners to communicate strategies and act as an ambassador for digital services.
  • Commercial & Business Support: Create bid proposals, write business case, and contribute to the development of internal documentation and quality processes.
  • Team Supervision: Lead teams by peer-reviewing deliverables, supporting colleagues, and maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications Experience & Technical Skills

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a IM Manager role, preferably with a strong understanding of consultancy environments and project lifecycles focused with assets.
  • Standards Compliance: Deep working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650, the Information Management Initiative Framework (IMI Framework, Formally UK BIM Framework), and industry information management standards.
  • 3D Authoring: Proficiency in industry leading 3D modelling software such as Revit or ArchiCAD for interrogation.
  • Coordination & Validation: Expert use of clash detection and model checking tools like Solibri and Navisworks.
  • Common Data Environment (CDE) Experience: Strong experience of CDE platforms such as Autodesk Forma (Formerly ACC), Mfiles and Maximo, to manage information flow, document control, and project collaboration.
  • Reporting: Proficiency with data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau to create dashboards and interpret project metrics.
  • Data Verification: Ability to analyse and validate model data, including an understanding of COBie data requirements.
  • Emerging Technology: Understanding of the wider technology market to support client delivery and drive research and development.

Qualifications: Preferably educated to degree level or with sufficient demonstrable workplace experience to satisfy the requirements of the role.
