As a Project Accountant, you will be an integral part of the Projects Finance Team, ensuring financial control and compliance with GDUK and Corporate policies. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide and analyse Estimate at Complete (EAC) data for projects, ensuring data integrity and adherence to corporate policies.
- Manage revenue recognition, trading of programmes, and financial analysis, including forecasts and variance analysis.
- Support complex bid and proposal activities, including costing, pricing, and evaluating.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of corporate financial reporting, adhering to UK/US GAAP requirements.
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and complete external statutory reporting requirements.
- Communicate effectively at multiple levels, highlighting relevant risks and opportunities to management.
- Support the Avionics Senior Project Accountant with monthly activities and team leadership.
This role requires a self-starter with keen attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using ERP financial systems.
- Strong analytical capacity to identify trends and problems and make recommendations in response.
- Able to lead & present in meetings.
- Ability to negotiate with internal customers.
- Team player & collaborative spirit.
- Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.
- Demonstrate leadership & mentoring team members.
Considerable years of related experience in an accounting role. Qualified Accountant with a relevant Accounting Body.
This role has a salary of between £41,600 and £55,000 plus our flexible benefits package. We are open to this role being spent with time working from home and in the office (hybrid - typically 3 days working in office) on a weekly basis or fully in our offices.
