We're looking for a qualified Financial Accountant who wants to move beyond professional practice and become part of a growing commercial business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone trained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy firm who enjoys the technical side of accounting but is keen to see the real-world impact of their work within an operational environment. You'll play a key role in financial reporting, audit management, and technical accounting while working closely with senior finance stakeholders across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
- Supervision of Purchase Ledger team
- Superuser for Microsoft Dynamics system
- Owner and Expert of the Professional Service Practice financial reporting
- Reviewing and analysing profit and loss performance
- Managing lease accounting and IFRS compliance
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Performing revenue recognition analysis and reporting
- Coordinating the annual external audit process
- Supporting and enhancing internal audit activities and controls
- Preparing group reporting submissions
- Managing intercompany reconciliations and transactions
- Providing technical accounting support across the finance function
- Contributing to finance improvement projects and ad hoc initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong audit background gained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy practice
- Experience auditing financial services, financial institutions, or complex corporate environments
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- A proactive approach and desire to build a career within industry
