Smart Platform Rental Ltd is a leading UK provider of truck-mounted access platforms. We are expanding our Midlands operations and are looking to recruit two experienced cherry picker operators — one HGV and one 7.5 tonne — to cover work across the Midlands region. While our nearest depot is Birmingham, this is a regional role. We can arrange a secure truck stop closer to your home, meaning applicants do not need to live near Birmingham to apply. Anyone based within the Midlands catchment is welcome.
The Role
- Operate truck-mounted cherry pickers on customer sites across the Midlands
- Drive and operate machines safely and professionally
- Carry out daily vehicle and machine checks
- Represent the company positively on site with customers
- Work flexibly to meet operational needs, including occasional night and weekend work
Hours & Pay (HGV Role)
- £34,000 per year, paid monthly
- 45 hours per week (10-hour day including 1 hour of breaks)
- Start and finish times vary depending on jobs
- Paid fixed-rate overtime for weekend and night working (7.5 tonne role will follow similar hours and structure; details confirmed at interview)

About You

Location Flexibility
Birmingham is the main depot. Truck stop space can be arranged closer to your home. Ideal for operators based anywhere across the Midlands.
