Smart is recruiting for an HLTA at Stocksfield Avenue Primary School for a year to cover a maternity leave. Stocksfield Avenue Primary School is a diverse, popular and oversubscribed two-form entry school in the west end of Newcastle. The school benefits from excellent facilities such as specialist music provision, forest school and extensive school grounds. The school was rated as ‘good’ in the latest Ofsted inspection 2024. This is an exciting opportunity in a successful and happy school in the heart of a vibrant and diverse community.

The post involves working in our provision (for SEND) and supporting the needs of high-needs pupils. The successful candidate will lead the provision, working with predominantly learners from EYFS and Key Stage One, with the support of two LSAs, which is overseen by our Inclusion Lead and SENDCo.

The successful candidate will be subject to an online search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025) legislation. Your principal place of work will be Stocksfield Avenue Primary School but you may be required to work at other Trust sites within Smart Multi Academy Trust within reason.
