This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Executive / Student Recruitment Officer based in the Manchester areas, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts and building strong relationships with students, universities, and key stakeholders. Responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end university application process, providing consultation and guidance to prospective students, monitoring account progress, and ensuring all client needs are handled efficiently and professionally.

Key Expectations

  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Additional language skills in Romanian, Italian, Bulgarian or Portuguese would be highly advantageous.
  • Applicants must currently reside in the United Kingdom and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Candidates with existing networks within the Romanian community and a strong understanding of the European student market will be highly advantageous.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with prospective students, educational institutions, community organisations, and recruitment partners across European markets.
  • Experience in student recruitment, admissions, sales, business development, or customer‑facing roles, with a proven ability to convert enquiries into enrolments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills, with confidence in conducting student consultations, events, and outreach activities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple recruitment campaigns, and meet enrolment targets within deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the UK higher education sector, home student recruitment landscape, student finance, and university admissions processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with diverse European communities and multilingual audiences is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools for effective student and pipeline management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and provide regular recruitment reports.
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, Education, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
