Purpose: As an Electrical Engineer you will be required to carry out PPM, reactive and breakdown work on all electrical systems on site. Engineers must have knowledge of air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV systems, with the ability to fault-find using graphical information and alarm data. You will operate engineering assets to ensure reliable, cost-effective performance with no unplanned disruptions. Manage reactive work in line with procedures and develop management tools and report on asset building performance and recommending improvements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain routine PPM is completed on all electrical plant in line with site schedules and asset lists.
- Complete reactive tasks across the building, including concessionary stores and fabric items, and highlight areas for improvement.
- Remedy plant faults and defects promptly to maintain serviceability.
- Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance System (e.g., Concept, Smart Hub) updated and close out PPM and reactive tickets with accurate information.
- Complete all paperwork for reactive and breakdown works and pass it to the contract administrator without delay.
- Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
- Keep all Smart-managed plant rooms locked, clean and tidy at all times.
Education and Training: Formally trained in City and Guilds Electrical Installations or the equivalent NVQ and Building Services maintenance. 18th Edition BS7671 City and Guilds. Experience in a similar role.
