A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Plumber to join us on a prestigious contract in Teddington. This is a Monday - Friday opportunity working 07:00-16:00/ 08:00-17:00 and once every 7 weeks 10:00-19:00.

Purpose: As a Maintenance Plumber at Smart Managed Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and critical building systems are maintained to the highest standard throughout. To carry out PPM tasks and reactive and breakdown works to all Mechanical systems within the site. Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of Plumbing and Hot & Cold-Water Systems which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
- Diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues efficiently.
- Conducting thorough inspections to ensure plumbing systems are in optimal working condition.
- Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
- To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices always.
- To develop a good working relationship with all members of Smart managed solutions staff, subcontractors, and the client representatives.
- Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment.
- To always include the wearing of uniform and PPE.
- Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
- To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
- Ensure Computer Based Maintenance system, e.g. Maximo, is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
- To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Smart Managed Solutions Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements (or approved client system).
Education and Training:
Formally trained in Plumbing to City and Guilds Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3.
