Purpose: As a Fabric Engineer, you will support the operation of facilities by carrying out routine maintenance and reactive repairs, including managing equipment safely and handling lighting maintenance, painting, decorating, basic carpentry, and general DIY tasks. You will work closely with the engineering team and ensure all planned and reactive tasks are completed to required standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- A commitment to safety, compliance, and excellent customer service is essential to success in this role.
- Carry out routine maintenance and reactive repairs in line with service level agreements, completing painting, decorating, lighting maintenance, and a wide range of DIY tasks to maintain a high-quality.
- Handle loading, unloading, and safe storage of equipment, spares, and deliveries, while supporting the engineering team with planned and reactive tasks to deliver excellent service.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation and build strong working relationships with colleagues and client teams.
- Promote a safe working environment and comply with all company and client policies, always presenting a professional image and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Maintain competence across all tasks through a commitment to personal development and life-long learning.
Education and Training: Formally trained in Fabric principles to City and Guilds or the equivalent NVQ Level 1 and Building Services Maintenance.
