Role Purpose: As a Lead Engineer you will manage engineering assets to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations with minimal disruptions. You will oversee reactive works, ensuring requests are handled promptly and in line with procedures, and develop management tools to monitor asset and building performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Upload quotes to Web Quote for client approval and ensure reactive tasks are completed within SLA
- Attend daily meetings and submit weekly staff and subcontractor rotas on time
- Carry out routine PPM on electrical and mechanical plant, complete reactive tasks promptly, and maintain adequate spares with inventory and timescale estimates
- Keep Computer-Based Maintenance Systems up to date with accurate PPM and reactive data
- Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments, ensuring good engineering practices and a safe work environment with uniforms and PPE
- Compile monthly reports for managers and clients
- Build positive relationships with Smart staff, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Keep all plant rooms secure, clean, and well-maintained
Education and Training: Formally trained in engineering discipline to City and Guilds Level 3 of NVQ Level 3
